Fleet privacy policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Applies to the Android apps "Fleet" and "Fleet (full screen)" published by Roaring Branch.

Who it's for

Fleet is a private tool. It only works with its owner's own server, which is reachable solely over the owner's private network (Tailscale). It has no accounts, sign-up, or public service.

What it handles

• Microphone. Only when you tap Talk. Speech is turned into text by Android's built-in speech recognizer (on the device, or Google's speech service, depending on your phone's settings). Fleet does not record or keep audio.
• Messages you send. The text you choose to send, and only when you tap Send, goes to the owner's private server and on to the owner's AI assistants.
• Messages you read. Fleet fetches conversation text from the owner's private server to display it. It may keep a short-lived copy on the phone to show it quickly.
• Read aloud. Uses Android's built-in text-to-speech on the phone.

What it doesn't do

• No ads, analytics, crash-reporting services or trackers.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
• No location, contacts, photos or other personal data are collected.

Retention and deletion

Messages live on the owner's own server under the owner's control. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the phone.
